It was warm, humid, sunny, yet windy in places during my late lunchtime run around the 5.08km Appleton Thorn Loop.
My first mile time was recorded at 6:45, so I was initially going at a reasonable pace for me. The kissing gates (especially the two wooden ones) certainly sap your energy when you have to come to a complete stop, then negotiate the gate, before pushing off once again. Well, I felt it today - that's for sure.

Look up negative splits Mike - 6:45 vs 7:22 - you're going overdrawn too early. Nobody likes a smart arse :)
