I ran the 9.10km Appleton Park and Reservior Combination (Anticlockwise) in a very pleasing effort and time of 42:50 beating my previous time by 1 minute and 14 seconds.
The funny thing that you notice when you run a course in the opposite direction for the very first time, is that you suddenly realise that there are hilly climbs which you had previous thought were flat.
It's still a tough old course this one - no matter which direction you run it in. Means that you start and finish at the same point, your brain keeps reminding you that for every metre you descend, you will have to ascend again at some point...
