It surely was extremely windy out there during my typical 4.45km Park Loop run.
I pushed myself today (well for my current fitness level that is), completing the first mile in 6:53 and covering a distance of 2,750 metres in the Cooper Test time of 12 minutes.
Instead of slowing down in the head on winds, I decided to push myself a little harder to maintain the same speed. It became immediately obvious that I was putting in the extra effort as my Heart Rate leapt an additional 8 to 10 beats per minute.
In the end, I completed the distance in 20:26, some 55 seconds faster than yesterday's effort.
