Formby 2 - 2 Abbey Hey
The first half saw no goals, although both sides played quite an attacking game.
In the second half Abbey Hey were to score first with a good attacking move. Then against the run of play the ball was passed back to the Abbey Hey goalkeeper to punt up field, however, an airshot saw the ball trickle past him and hit the left-hand post and back into play. Just when you thought the keeper may have got away with his mistake, a Formby forward ran on to the ball to slot it home for the equalizer.
Abbey Hey quickly responded by going ahead just a minute later. However, it was not to be Abbey Hey's day, as Formby scored in injury time to share the points.
